WHAT HAPPENED?
The Aussie boss was scathing about Spurs' mentality following the home loss, secured by two Erling Haaland strikes either side of an infamous one-on-one miss from Heung-min Son. The rivalry with Arsenal was the central focus of the build up to the match, with some fans wanting to lose in order to prevent the Gunners from winning the title and effectively hand City a fourth in a row. The lack of desire to win appeared to get the better of Postecoglou while stationed in his technical area.

After the match, Postecoglou said: "The last 48 hours have revealed that the foundations are fairly fragile. It just means I've got to go back to the drawing board with some things. It's outside (the club), inside, everywhere. It's been an interesting exercise."
When pressed about the chants of 'are you watching Arsenal' following Haaland's 51st-minute opener, the Spurs boss added: "I'm not interested mate. I just don't care. It's just my observations mate. I'm not going to tell you, because it's for me. I'm the one who's got to do it. You can make your own assessments of what's happened. I probably misread the situation as to what I think is important in your endeavour to become a winning team, but that's ok. That's why I'm here."

Postecoglou is not the first manager to raise questions about the foundations at Spurs. Both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte did the same in their short reigns in charge, with both given the boot soon after their respective rants to the media. Although given the positives of this season, it seems unlikely Postecoglou will fall victim of the same outcome.
